Zijn dochter Kitty Goverde bevestigt op Facebook een bericht van Omroep Brabant. De zanger stierf in zijn woonplaats Venray na een kort ziekbed.Boezeroen had in de jaren zeventig en tachtig een aantal hits met levensliederen als De Fles, Ze Zeggen, De Dronkaard en Oei oei. Hij trad vanaf zijn zestiende op op lokale podia en feesten in Noord-Brabant en Limburg.
